There are many things we can't practice to prepare for labor. We can't practice what a contraction feels like, or crowning, or really pushing. BUT--there are things we can practice so that your body isn't totally surprised when labor hits.
At the end of this workshop, you will feel more prepared for birth because you've learned:
How to practice relaxing your pelvic floor in labor.
Perineal stretching--what it is and what it isn't (hint: it's not torture!)
What positions you can labor and push in, what to practice, and what you do and don't like.
How to effectively push when the time comes.
Your partner will learn:
How to help you prepare your pelvic floor for birth.
Hands-on techniques to open the pelvis during labor, which help with pain management and ease the way for the baby's emergence.
