The Supported Self

Courtney Covington, LICSW (she/her)

I've had the privilege of supporting individuals navigating anxiety, life transitions, and the lasting impact of difficult experiences since starting my practice in 2021. Many of the people I work with are the ones others count on. They spend a lot of time overthinking, second-guessing themselves, or feeling responsible for everyone else's needs while putting their own on the back burner. Together, we work to better understand these patterns, build healthier boundaries, and find a more grounded and connected way of moving through life.

My approach is collaborative, compassionate, and grounded in curiosity. I am an active and direct therapist, balancing listening and asking questions with sharing insight and offering practical tools. While therapy can involve difficult conversations, I strongly believe humor has an important place in the process. Growth doesn't have to happen in a room that feels heavy all the time! I also believe therapy is about more than managing symptoms. It's a space to better understand yourself, strengthen your relationships, and create meaningful change in your day to day life.

When I'm not in the office, you'll find me spending time with my cats, watching soccer, or hiking in the great outdoors!
