A Letter to the Community
Hello friend and fellow community member,
I’m Mandi, the owner of Thresholds Collective, and I wanted to share an update about an important transition happening within this space.
Nearly two years ago, I signed the lease on what would become Thresholds Collective with big dreams and many sheets of sticky notes full of ideas—classes, workshops, retreats, gatherings, and ways of bringing people together. Some of those ideas took shape in beautiful ways, and others remained part of the dreaming. I’m deeply grateful for all that has unfolded here, and especially for the people who brought their work, care, and presence into this space.
Over time, it has become clear that the way Thresholds Collective has been operating is not sustainable for me and my family. My work, my parenting, and my capacity have shifted since we opened, and after a very intentional process, I’ve made the difficult decision to downsize Thresholds Collective from its current form.
As of April 1, 2026, Studio Rentals will come to a close, and Thresholds Collective-hosted programming will be paused indefinitely. This includes offerings such as Baby & Me Yoga, the New Parent Support Group, and Mom Group. This was not an easy decision to make.
Thresholds Collective itself is not closing. The space will continue to be a place of healing, with practitioners offering one-on-one care out of individual treatment rooms. The Studio space will remain available for use by long-term tenants as part of their practice.
Beginning April 1, there will be availability for practitioners interested in joining the collective as long-term tenants, with or without group offerings. Past and current tenants have included professionals offering massage therapy, physical therapy, mental health therapy, doula support, acupuncture, spiritual direction, coaching, and other complementary modalities.
This is not where I imagined we’d be when we opened the doors in 2024. But I’m holding onto the fact that it’s all a big experiment–both business and parenting–and all we can do is continue trying things out, keeping the most important things front and center and knowing when to slow down and listen. This next chapter feels quieter, and while there is some grief in letting go, I trust that this pause is the next right thing for the space, and for me and my family.
I am deeply grateful to everyone who has crossed the threshold of this space: those of you who brought your deepest selves, your babies, your stories, your healing work, and your trust. Thank you for being part of this community and for helping shape what Thresholds Collective has been.
With gratitude,
Mandi Murtaugh
