Hightower Counseling Services

Laurel Hightower, LICSW (she/her)

I've been working in social services throughout the PNW for over a decade and have been in clinical practice since 2020. I work with individuals navigating trauma, neurodivergence, parenting and caregiving challenges, identity exploration, and the many stressors that come with being human in an often complicated world.

My approach is collaborative, authentic, and compassionate. I believe therapy is about progress, not perfection, and that you are the expert on your own life, even when things don't feel clear. Together, we can make sense of difficult emotions, better understand patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and identify practical ways to move toward the life you want. I strive to create a space that is gender, culture, disability, and body affirming, where all parts of your identity are welcome.

I am passionate about supporting neurodivergent individuals, exploring the impact of trauma, and recognizing how larger systems and social injustices shape our experiences. Therapy is one tool for healing, growth, and self-liberation, and finding a therapist you trust is an important part of that process.

When I'm not working, you'll usually find me playing cozy video games, reading, practicing yoga, spending time with my family, or planning imaginary vacations.
